    Default Update your Signature!

    Hello everyone,

If you have a chance, please consider setting up your signature. Here are a couple of things you might want to put in it:
    a) your first name
    b) how close you are to finishing your degree
    c) how many credits total you tested out of
    d) what degree, and from where

These are all just ideas, of course--post as little or as much as you want.

To update your signature, click the "User CP" in the upper left hand corner, and you will see an option to "Edit Signature"

    Default Hello Steve;

I liked your ideas for signature update. It lets everyone know where everyone else in in the study process. Thanks!

    Default Suggestion

Wouldn't it make more sense to have such a list on the user's profile? It's looked at less, sure, but it would make browsing the forums much less cumbersome. If everyone adds fifteen lines to their posts, it'll obscure the actual posts. And it's ugly. I've always appreciated sites where the users would avoid annoying huge avatars, long text signatures, etc. so that you could focus on the posts.

But in order to accomplish that, I would think you'd need to allow more information on the profile page. Currently, it's hard to even put basic info due to the character limit.

Anyway, I'll go along with it and post mine as well, but I think it makes more sense on the profile page.

Signature completed - can I get at least one lower level credit for that?

    1. Up at the top of this page, click "User CP."
    2. On the left hand side of the page near the top, click "Edit Signature."
    3. On the signature page, enter your information, then click "preview signature" to make sure that it looks the way that you want it to look.
    4. Click "Save Signature."

Note: the signature will be updated on ALL posts that you have posted which had a signature. I.e., if I were to change my signature now, it would change on this post and all other posts that have a signature. However, it does not apply to posts which existed before signature was created (i.e., my post lower on this page).

What the heck, I'll give it a try - at least seeing that list of exams to complete will be a motivator for me to finish, despite the fact it bugs SirJake.

Altough, I do have to say, he's got a point.

Hi Crystal - Don't be "jealous" (I too was quite distant from my goal) but know that it can be done - AND that you will succeed!! It's too bad that we are on opposite sides of the country as perhaps we could have pooled our collective strengths to study in getting ready for the dreaded college math exam.

As for tips, use IC as much as possible and take whatever practice/mock exams that you can to assess your ability to pass the real exam. Remember when you answer more than half correct on these exams you should be ready to sit the real thing.

I guess originally I had envisioned a signature of 3 or 4 lines... You're right, if everyone had 15-line signatures, that could be tedious. I think it would be great if everyone at least had a signature with their first name.

I'm going to look into expanding the profile limits.
