After high school I went to college lived in the dorms........and hardly ever went to class after 3 semesters LOL I earned a total of 15 credits. Well here I am 5 years later..... I took my first two exams - Intro to Sociology and American Government. I was pretty confident about Sociology and scored a 71. American Government had me a little nervous but I passed with a 65. I wish I had known about this sooner. Tommorow I start studying for Intro to Psych and Intro to Educational Psych will take those in about a week or two.

Oh mi God that's great. I take these two exams on tuesday and wednesday i might try and take both the same day...
I have a question I've gone thru instant cert like 3 times.. and I kinda sorta know most of the blanks,,but sometimes I forget,,but sometimes i think on the actual test when i 'see' the answers it will ring a bell?... do you think i'm right?? I"m kind of nervous.. I realllllllllllllllly want to Pass and save myself 1800 bucks!!!!! |

.. was instant cert enough? you got an updated test probably...I read the forums and they say practice the peterson's tests and read on wikipedia and websites and all that.. I don't even think i'll have time.. I"m still trying to get thru the ic questions more than a bunch of times...get those going...
someone put up a GREAT Government exam in a nutshell.. I printed that out and am trying to focus on that as well... (saved me from taking notes!) I hate that ic doesn't have a print page... were they obvious questions or tricky? would they put miranda vs coke, miranda vs tom, miranda vs. whatever .. and make it tricky? or clear concise differences.. groan.. painful. why can't instant cert reduce the amount of questions.. : ) haa.. yea I feel good about sociology too..government has me a bit weak. but when i'm done with my three tests I'm coming back to share! |

try not to freak yourself out too much...
don't 'buy into' your 'nervous' mode. just keep studying day in and day out... ... repetition. think to yourself its okay I am studying..one hour a day,,,, two ... I am hoping that if i 'put in the time' i'll 'pass'. good luck .. I really hope you do well...--anyways enough to PASS right??!! : ) later.. on friday i'll let you know if i passed or failed! step by step, flashcard by flashcard.. keep going.. drudge on..! |

Thanks!!! The American Government test.......... I only had a chance to go through instantcert questions twice but I guess that was enough to get in the 60s on the Peterson's practice tests. I took all three and went over all the answers. The test in a nutshell study guide was great. I memorized the whole thing. Someone suggested for the court cases to remember one name and that worked well (they don't try to trick you by mixing up names). I was so nervous i really don't remember much there were a lot of read the graph/chart type questions though. There were some questions very similar to the ones on the peterson test maybe question worded a lil different but the same.......I was happy to see those. so instantcert, petersons and that test in a nutshell study guide and you shouldn't have problem.
