    Default Algebra & Calc. Videos

Anyone know were I can get some Algebra and eventually Calculus videos? Preferably online videos and something that's not going to break the bank. Not to mention something that starts out w/a beginner level so I can relearn what I took in high school.

Check if your local library has any DVD's from The Teaching Company : Educational Courses on DVD, Audio CD, and Audio Tape- Lecture Series by College/University Professors At my library, I can order DVD's online from the entire county and have them delivered to my local library for pickup. See if you can do the same thing with your library. I was able to check all videos from basic math, to algebra 1, algebra 2 and others.

    Resource: Algebra: In Simplest Terms

Very good algebra series. Combine this with sparknotes Math Study Guides - SparkNotes and you're on your way to passing college algebra for free.
    Good Luck

    Default standard deviants

I know that the standard deviants have a few course videos for Algebra and Calculus. You can see if they have it at your local library or here is the link directly to their site http://www.standarddeviants.com/

Thank you for the Teacher Professional Development and Teacher Resources by Annenberg Media site. I am trying to search for the best study material for the Algebra Clep test and this looks like it will be a great resource. I have read that the REA study guide for Algebra is not that accurate so I am looking for other resources. I don't want to confuse myself studying information that is not accurate. I guess I will hit the library for algebra books and check out sparknotes.

I recently took the College Algebra test and passed. I looked through the REA book, but the examples they had for the more complex problems didn't help me at all!!! I ended up looking up stuff on the internet mostly. This is a good website.

If you have any questions, let me know.

I just looked at the Annenberg Media site, and it looks like there is some fluff at the beginning (may make it more interesting ), but other than that it looked pretty good, it seemed like it applied the math to the "real world".

Default Algebra CLEP study guide Recommendations

DixieGirl, thanks for the link. I will check it out. I found another link called GetMath.com. My problem is I am trying to find out which CLEP study guide to buy. I just ordered Practical Algebra: A Self Teaching Guide and I am now looking for a more official CLEP study guide. Has anyone found one they like. Thanks, Min
