I am scheduled to take the ECE OB exam next week. I took the first practice test that ECE offers, for a fee of course, and answered 71 of 100 questions correctly. I think that is good, but what grade would that equate to, if anyone knows. I believe ECE uses scaled scoring just as CLEP and DSST exams do, but I have no idea how good answering 71 of 100 questions is.

I took the ECE OB test with no study (what was I thinking?)and scored a C. My post test percentage was around a 55-60%. I think that if scored a 70 on the practice test, then that would equate to a A or very high B.
Good luck!

For the ECE exams, it is much more important to be sure you have a decent feel for all the subject areas the exam covers, rather than relying on your overall score. Look at your Exam Content Guide. For Organizational Behavior, you have these content areas:
I. Organizational Behavior, the Individual, and Workforce Diversity - 40% II. Interpersonal Process and the Group - 35% III. Organizational Processes and Structure - 25% You should look at the wrong answers from your practice exams and see whether they fall into a particular content area. If they are mostly in area III, then study up a bit more, but don't worry too much -- that's only 25% of your score in any event. But if they are mostly in area I, then you should probably do more prep before taking the exam. Generally, raw scores in the 80-90% range ACROSS ALL AREAS should get you an A, but if you are weak in any one area it could lower your grade. |
