    Default Newbie needs advise...

    Hello all,

I am 27 and I am trying to finish up my degree and I would like to knock out about 9-10 classes through CLEP...

I am going to Strayer University and I have a few general questions about the CLEP exams...

First: Does the score that I receive on the exam translate into a letter grade which affects my GPA? or is it just a pass/fail thing? or does it depend on the school?

Second: There are a few courses that I can get credit for that will accept either a CLEP test or a DANTE test, for instance Principles of Supervision (DANTE) vs. Principles of Management (CLEP), does anyone have any advise as to which tests are harder and if so how are they different?

Third: Any study advise for how long to prepare, wether to branch out into other resources, etc??? I guess it may depend on the test...

Thank You all in advance...I am very happy I found this resource and I look forward to getting started...

    1. Just a pass/fail but ask your college advisor. Some schools accepts high scores for a grade.
    2. Depends on the exam you NEED to take. Some are harder than others but make sure you research the specific exam feedback for more info.
    3. All depends on how fast you are able to grasp and understand the subject.

Thanks for joining InstantCert and Good luck!

I took both Mgt and Supervision and i think Mgt was a bit easier.. seemed to not have as many names on the test. I also hardly studied for Mgt, just remembed what i studied for supervision and did a few flashcards for it and seemed to score higher then I did on supervision.
