Did somebody introduce an Intro to Music exam? I've never heard of it before.

Available since last fall ECE's Intro to Music for 3 credits lower level. A friend of mine thought it was going to be a piece of cake. He blew a load of money for the study material, CD's, and such. It DOES NOT look easy. A lot the mechanics of music (ie..what is pitch, what is an octave), and name that tune stuff in which you must identify the composer (ie..Amadeus, Beethoven) and the type of music you are hearing (ie...fugue, symphony, etc). Sounds like a horror show to me. If you don't know the material, this one is not to be taken lightly.

did your friend pass? I'm a musician I know the basics but I'm not familiar with composers, well a few of them I am but I'm not an expert.

He has not taken it yet. I'm not sure when he has it scheduled. I will try to get some info from him when he does.
