OK. Maybe I have been away from the forums to long I missed this discussion.
I saw a post in another thread that Excelsior is no longer accpeting FEMA via TESC. Only Fredericks. So I emailed EC today and asked them about this and also because I had my unofficial evalation done and some of the FEMA's were counted that were transcipted through TESC. This is the response I got, but they didnt address whether or not they will still count my FEMA credits since I had them do the evaluation months ago: Good Afternoon, Thank you for your inquiry to Excelsior College. You are correct we no longer accepting FEMA credit transcribed on a Thomas Edison State College transcript. In order to receive credit for the FEMA training, you will have to have your credits transcribed by either Fredericks Community College or Clackamas Community College. I hope this information is helpful to you. If you need further assistance, please contact us again or call our toll free number at 1-888-647-2388 ext. 2-7. I replied and asked her the same question I asked first time aorund. I will post what she says once I receive a response. If anyone else has already dug into this or posted about it please let me know. Thanks |

I would think if you evaluation was Unofficial they might not count the FEMA credits. But I am crossing my fingers for you, that they do. Quote:

Response I received today:
Good Afternoon, I have good news for you. You will be able to utilize the FEMA credits on the Thomas Edison transcript if you enroll into the degree program by the end of April 2008. If you enroll after that month you will not be able to use your credits from FEMA through Thomas Edison, you will have to follow the process I previously stated. OK. With this said I am assuming that this is because I had my unofficial evaluation done before they changed the policy. So be sure to check if it applies to you before submitting anything to them. |
