Default Just took Macroeconomics clep test

Passed with a 76. Very glad it's over with. Overall I'd say I studied about 20-25 hours total.

While I did get help from InstantCert flash cards I think the Peterson's sample tests were the most helpful. Without them I'm not sure I would have passed and certainly would not have gotten the score I did.

Just know all the basics such as supply/demand, production possibilities, multiplier, fiscal/monetary policy, etc. and someone will do well.

    Thanks Swthing & Charlie!!!

    Charlie,

BTW, I see you are doing the MIS at Excelsior. What do you think of that program? I'm enrolled at Walden in June to start their BS administration with concentraiton in IS program. I'm thinking about going for an IT/IS type degree instead of or in addition to the online Walden University.

Can you pretty much complete that MIS degree with exams or are their some classes you have to take from Excelsior.

    Thanks in advance!

A very large chunk can be done with exams. You can use not only use DSSTs and CLEPs, but also a specific group of IT Certification exams (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Sun, etc.) can be applied to your concentration electives and applied professional catagories. There are however certain concentration core subjects that you may need to take online, depending on your experience, and what you can transfer in. I find that Excelsior College's MIS track has been the most appropriate degree completion path for me.

I would be happy to speak with you further about my experiences offline if you would like to exchange contact info.

Also, I think there are at least a couple of other active forum members that are doing the BS MIS at Excelsior. Maybe they can contribute some additional tips for you and me. This is a great forum with super contributors. You will learn much from visiting here often.
