    Cool,

I took 12 of them a few months ago. I also made sure I included the six cources that make up the "Professional Development" series. You get a much nicer certificate when you pass all the required courses in that series. I would think this certification might look good on a resume, if someone is pursuing a job where such a certification might be relevant.

    Hi Snazzle-
instead of studying for my us hist 2 test tomorrow, which i am not prepared for, i procrastinated instead to the fema site. when i was looking at the profesional development series (i want that snazzy certificate), this is what i found: "The original Advanced Professional Series (APS) course lineup was established five years ago, and updated in 2004, to motivate and challenge students to continue emergency management training. Courses address top skills for performing emergency management and disaster duties. All APS courses are classroom courses. There are no independent study courses in the series." so my question is: how did you get around the classroom part? was it really independent study or did you go somewhere for this?

    EXCELLENT!!

I just did one last night (at work) and already received my "you passed' e-mail from FEMA. I just down loaded the form from FCC to register the credit and send it up to Excelsior. Pretty Kool -
