Hey all, I've lurked here for awhile but just never got around to posting. I just wanted to say that I took the A&I Lit test today and scored a 62 with very little studying, just brushing up on some terms the night before, which honestly didn't help anyway. I think I am a pretty average reader, maybe slightly better then most. I really don't read books though, and I'm certainly not into the type of literature or poetry that was in this test. I was not sure about any single answer on the test, so the score I got was quite a shock. Definitely the hardest I've taken so far, but knucyt's time management suggestion in the specific exam forum really helped. Thanks!!!

You're welcome! It was Zippy99 who discussed this approach in an earlier thread - glad it is working for other exam takers also! I have to say I am both inspired and a little jealous of those of you who can study for a test in a few hours or not study at all and still pass with great scores! Amazing!

    Wink Congrats!

Way to go on passing the A & I Lit. CLEP! I only hope I am so lucky on March 26th. I have my doubts. I am currently studying some literary devices, but am doing horribly on the REA study guide practice tests. This will be my first CLEP attempt! It is not coming easily, however. I will stay optimistic and study! Plenty of time. I will enjoy burning this book after I pass the exam.

Anyone have any practical advice on Here's to Your Health??? I am considering that one next along with American History I and II.:

Thanks marianc! I also did horribly on the REA tests but found that I actually picked up more than I thought! Furthermore, at least one section from REA showed up on the exam (it could have been 2 or the other one was from Peterson's) So hang in there and make sure you read all the explanations to the questions - I found this v. helpful. I also found doing the CD tests (vs. paper copy) a great assist also.

Have you checked out the Exam Specific Feedback forum? I posted details on my exam experience there, as have plenty of others - it is all good stuff.

Good luck on the 26th, using REA really helped me!
