Does anyone know any sites or places where I can apply for a college grant?

A good place to start is at a library or book store. A lot of books on both can be found there. If it's grants you are looking for as opposed to scholarships it probably wouldn't hurt to get a dummies guide to grants/ grant writing. I tried signing up on fastweb. I hated it! They make you give all of this info which is really used for marketing and you get a million junk e-mails. Good luck!

Not sure if this is what you're looking for. I went here FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid and completed the fafsa online for myself, wife, and son who are all going to college. In order to get financial aid (Pell Grants) you need to list the school you plan to enroll. Depending on your EFC score and amount of units you plan to enroll, you can get some financial aid. Also note, I'm going to the local community college to complete some of my required classes for my degree. I noticed my local school still had funds left over for 2007/2008 year. I never applied for 2007/2008 because I didn't think we would qualify, as my wife was working full time. Within three weeks of applying online, my local school is refunding me 600 dollars for me, and 800 dollars for tuition we spent on school. For 2008, it's looking like 4K for my son and wife each, and 2K for myself on pell grants. |
