Cool Am I ready for this test?!?!

    Hey everyone,

Well i have been studying my life away for this Humanities test. My room seriously looks like the Russell Crowe's room in "A Beautiful Mind". I've got papers with definitions hanging everywhere. I've been eating, breathing, and sleeping this test for the past few weeks!

So here's my question.. I've been religiously doing IC flashcards, I did the Peterson's test and scored a 68 (I think? it's confusing to score..i got 79 right and then used my REA book to get a score). I feel confident in most areas, but I'm a little iffy since this is my first CLEP experience. I am planning on taking it tomorrow at 10:00 AM sharp.

For you CLEP veterans, do you think I am ready? Please share your wisdom!

    Thanks,

    Mary-Claire

Cool Go Hard or Go Home!!!

I would agree with Brian...I'd go for it...It's natural to start second guessing yourself...I did...So I know from experience.

I took my very first CLEP Tuesday, April 1, 2008 @ 2pm. I took the Social Sciences & History CLEP which is probably on the very same wavelength with the Humanities exam. Meaning that it covers a wide range of topics. In my honest opinion, if you have the guts to take a test of that magnitude for your very first test, then you have to give yourself some credit.

Believe in yourself...and when you're done with that exam and you click on that "report scores" tab...you will smile a smile you've never smiled before!!!....I did.

I was in the same boat as you. The closer I got to my exam day...the worst I felt. I started second-guessing myself. Mind you, it was my very first CLEP. I think it's human nature to get nervous when you take yourself out of your "comfort zone," but it's worth it in the end. I waited for a good 30 - 45 seconds before I even clicked on the "report scores" tab. And too my astonishment (I thought I didn't do as well) I got a 60...at the very least I just wanted to pass!!!

Before I go I would like to leave you with 2 quotes that I love.

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us" - Oliver Wendell Holmes

"Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least." - Goethe

You can do it....GOOD LUCK...and let us know what you get so we can celebrate with you.

    From a loyal degree seeker,

    Marshall

Ill be in taking the Humanities test an hour ahead of you (9AM, but I'm CST), and consider yourself more prepared than I am. I have been studying this test as well as the Natural Science test on and off for the last couple of months and really buckled down on Humanities the last two weeks. I am nervous too, but if it doesn't work out, another test should, right? Right.

well, not for me... I am studying Pre-K Primary Education at the University of North Florida, and I am all done with classes this semester and do student teaching in the fall. They were so gracious to pull a "you need a philosophy course" on me, and i said no thanks i'll take a CLEP. So it's this or a 600 class in the summer.. BLAH!!!!!!!!

I think i'll be ok. Best of luck to you!!!!
