How's it going everyone. I've lurked here for a few weeks while I've been preparing to apply to TESC and now I have a few questions. Here is what I am going to need to finish my AAS from TESC:
A. English Composition 6 (I have an English from LSU so I either CLEP the whole 6 hours or find a school to take the other English from) B. Humanities 3 (Art Appreciation Penn Foster or a CLEP suggestion from you guys) C. Social Sciences 3 (Psychology Penn Foster or a CLEP suggestion from you guys) D. College Mathematics 3 (LSU College Algebra DONE!) E. General Education Electives 6 (Biology from LSU and a CLEP suggestion from you guys) II. Area of Study 21 (Done!) III.Free Electives 18 (Done!) As you can tell it looks like I'm around 4 courses shy of my AAS. I'm trying to get this done quickly so I can move on to Bellevue for my Bachelors. My debate is whether to CLEP them or take a few from Penn Foster. I'm open for suggestions and if I decide to CLEP I'm going to sign up for InstaCert. I appreciate any input! Thanks! ![]() Last edited by soupbone : 04-03-2008 at 08:31 PM. |

Thanks Shoto! In your opinion which ones would be the easier of the two? I'm trying to be patient but I'm so close that I want to finish this and move on to my bachelor's. Thanks! ![]() |

For the English part, take the English comp with Essay (if no essay is required, take it without but check with your school first). For humanities, I would either take the A&I Lit or Humanities CLEP for 6 credits. If your school takes DSST exams, go for World Religions. Pretty cake. Social Sciences=Intro to Sociology. One of the easiest CLEPs out there. For General Electives, I would either take a history CLEP or whatever you are inclined to do. Good Luck!

Hmmmmm, good question. The easiest of the two groups would be the the first one - management/supervision series.

Thanks for the advice guys! I think I'm going to take the Sociology CLEP for sure and the English CLEP as well. I'm going to take Art Appreciation through Penn Foster. That lkeaves me with 1 more General Ed elective. In your opinions what would be the easiest or fastest one that would fall into a general ed elective spot? I've been in investigations for 13 years so I'm not sure if that helps. Thanks again!
