    Default If you fail

    Hi everyone,

I am new to CLEP and wish I found out about it earlier in life. I am currently a 40 year old student at Embry Riddle Aeronautical university with about 36 credit hours left to graduate with a BS in professional aeronautics. I’m a pilot by trade. My question is this. If you fail a CLEP exam (say macroeconomics) can you retake the exam or will you be required to take the class? Looks like the only classes I have to take at this point are BER’s, micro, macro, English, algebra, statistics, humanities, physics most of which I would like to CLEP out of. Also, what would you experienced Clepers recommend for a first timer to take? Thanks in advance for your input!

If you fail a CLEP you have to wait 6 months before you can retake it.

I would start from English then Economics followed by humanities and then math. Good Luck!

    Default ERAU also

I am also ERAU, working on my BA in PA w/ minors in Safety and Mgmt. Here's the scoop on ERAU:
~they will accept many CLEP/DSST tests (Micro, Macro, Algebra, English, Humanites.. no physics though, I need that one too ), verify before you take it so you don't waste your time
~you NEED 10 classes for residency for the BA program, so use those for filling out your minor requirements if you need them
~ERAU will only accept the first or second attempt at the same test... no 3 strike rule. If you fail it twice, don't even bother going back, but I doubt you will if you are on here.

If you need any more help, please let more know, I'll be more than willing to help. I just wish I discovered this website sooner... I would've been able to pass Macro instead of sitting thru the class... Good Luck!
