Tell your daughter that is a phenomenal score. Congratulations!

How old is your daughter? I'm wondering how soon my kids can do that instead of going thru AP class in HS?

She is 16 (will be 17 in June). My son will be taking it on the 25th - he is 18 (actually today is his 18th birthday).

    Cool Congratulations!!!

Sounds to me like you have some amazing children!!!! That daughter of yours is something!!! 16 years old!!!! If she keeps it up at this rate she may be a college grad by 18 or 19!!!!

70 is an amazing score. She should be extremely proud of herself. Be sure to keep us informed of her progress. I for one love hearing good news!

    From a loyal degree seeker,

    Marshall

Her score is even more impressive for her age - is she home schooled? I keep hearing from friends w/kids who are trying to get into 4 year Universities that more and more of them are no longer giving credit for AP exams (only 2 yr colleges), so it makes even more sense to go the CLEP/DANTES route for all the basic classes!

Congrats again and keep us posted!

Thanks for each of your kind words. She has appreciated your encouragement!
She is home schooled (as are her nine siblings). Depending on her interests, she will probably graduate from TESC (or one of the big three). As ShotoJuku (Brian Fey) has on his site "Slow & steady wins the race".
Thanks again to all on here for your consistant encouragement and help!

Default Daughter Passed A&I Literature UPDATE (Son Passed)

Hi All! Just a short update. My son just passed the same exam with a 71! You may remember my daughter passed with a 70. This past week he causually mentioned to her in good natured competition he would make a 71 & did! Of course there was no way he could have orchestrated it so when his score came up he was amused that it worked out that way.
They both know there are a lot of challenges (read: blood, sweat & tears) ahead but they like having these six credits so far.
    Thanks Again!
