I took both Intro to Business and Astronomy DSST exams this week, and both were computerized and had the regular 20-80 point scoring.

    Default DSST Nightmare

Hello everybody. I'm new to the forum, but have been having such a nightmare with DSST scheduling that I was inclined to post.

Took paper Criminal Justice DSST on 4/19 and got the results in today's mail, five weeks later. Received a score of 467 of which I have no idea how it will translate to a recommended letter grade.

Scheduled Civil War Computerized DSST at one college for 5/13 but got a call on the preceding Friday indicating technical difficulties that would prevent the test administration. Rescheduled at another college for the same date, two hours from my home, showed up and the proctor log-in failed. After two hours of the proctor dealing with the technology folks at Prometric, it was determined that Iwas out of luck for the day.

I'm now scheduled to take the paper version at yet another site next week.

    Fingers crossed.

I'd never heard anything about this. I'm glad you guys brought it up!! I just took DSST Ethics a few days ago, and it was the regular computerized version that I know and love haha. I don't think my testing center (Arizona State) is doing the beta testing. Or if they are, no one told me anything about it.

Hmm... I think I'll have to find out Monday when I take my next test.

it seems to be somewhat random - I live in SC, right on the border of NC. So far, all of the NC centers that I have called ARE beta testing, so it may be by state because my SC center is not beta testing.

It may also be by schools. All of the Strayer and UofP schools have been doing the beta testing. The smaller centers are a better bet. If I have time, I think I am going to try to do a statistical analysis to give the probability of any given testing center to be participating in beta testing...

    Maybe not...

I am totally stressed out reading all this. I have been trying for several weeks to take my LAST DSST but it's been the same ole story of the proctor not being able to log into the system. And now they're changing the scoring? And making you wait 3 weeks for a paper test?

WHY doesn't DSST have some INFORMATION about this on their WEBSITE????

I'm going to call my proctor again tomorrow and see if anything has changed...I can't tell you how FRUSTRATED I am. I am so CLOSE! I can be done in a WEEK if they could just get this figured out!

Don't mind me, I HAVE to CAPITALIZE things and get it OUT of my SYSTEM.
