I'm new here. Can someone explain the best way to get credits for my FEMA courses I've taken and what it costs?

    Thanks

    Hi Chuck,

    Welcome to the board.

Here is a link to another thread discussing the FEMA credit process in more detail.
    http://www.instantcertonline.com/for...highlight=FEMA

In addition, you can search the board for any references to a particular word or phrase (in this case "FEMA"). Just click on "Search" in the horizontal menu at the top of each page.

If you still have questions after reading the above thread, let us know!

    Take care,
    Snazzlefrag

    dhlvrsn,

Your best bet is to give them a quick call: (888) 442-8372

They'll be able to answer any questions you might have, and/or help you set up your account.

    Good luck,

Default Tesc credit bank - fema

Does anyone know for sure how many fema courses tesc will give credit for? A friend of mine called them and he said they only told him they give credit for what the ACE recommends.

    Chuck

Only TESC can give you a definitive answer to that. But based on the experience of others, I can tell you that they accept at least thirty of the available FEMA credits.

I'll see if I can find the post, on another board, where a guy listed which FEMA credits TESC had accepted.

    Standby.

    Default Similar responce

I just got the same responce from Excelsior. While doing a google search I found a couple of colleges that "no longer accept FEMA credit in any form." Looks like the word is out that these may not be the most difficult. I went to ACENET and did a search for "FEMA." The courses that they recognize are, suprise, not the online ones but the advanced training courses. Some of them were 36 hours and still only worth one credit.

    Okay,

I found the list. This list shows the credits that were accepted by TESC (in August 2005) out of the FEMA courses that this particular person had passed.

NOTE: This list may be outdated now. So you should confirm with TESC.

That's why you have to have them accepted by a RA school first before EC will accept them.....
