I been researching for awhile and I guess I’m having trouble making up my mind. I was all but sold on EC, but I keep reading about the FEMA credits. I only have a few previous credits from B&M
Eng 101 Phy 101 Basic Public Speaking Eng102 I really want to finish up school I’m looking to get an Associates 1st and then Bachelors. I’m looking for the fastest way through. I’ve been looking at business TESC - Associate in Science in Business Administration TESC - BSBA in General Management EC - Associate in Science, Business EC -Bachelor of Science, General Business I had even thought about an IT degree, but I have to take some of the certs but this could be a win-win, since I work in IT anyway. Could I use a MCSE or something to pass all my IT requirements? Or would the business be easier? Also what are you thoughts on FEMA credits at TESC or EC? |

You are already 12 credits closer to your degree than a lot of people! Since all degrees require around 60 or so general ed credits, I'd set my sights on knocking those off first. There are a handful of 6 credit CLEP's that can help you reach your goal quickly. Invest the $20-25 in the CLEP official study guide and go through the sample questions for each category. I took and passed (3) 6 credit CLEP's cold after realizing that I knew the majority of the questions. On top of that, the 6 credit CLEP's cost the same as the 3 credit....meaning those 18 credits cost me around $200....not free, but pretty close.

When I started taking CLEP/DSST/ECE's I had a "lot" of credits already from the military. Once I got into the swing of testing, I realized that having those credits, while nice, was hardly necessary since testing is so easy. I now have over 120 "total" credits even though many aren't degree applicable.
The hardest part is getting started. Once you build up the confidence to take the tests and know that you can pass, credits will come fast and furious. -David
