    Cool Thanks everyone!

Thanks everyone for responding to my post, it is greatly appreciated.

I think I will do a cost comparison to see what's the most economical way to do this. I just hate that my local cc is setup on the quarter hour system. If it weren't for that I would be home free.

I do have one more question though. When you take classes online, do you still need textbooks like you would in a regular class? If so I'm hoping to go the cheap route and either buy used or rent them. I found a website called Campus Book Rentals ---I haven't researched the site yet but I'm sure this will be a better alternative.

I'll keep you guys posted with the decision I come up with. I'm just going to worry about finishing my Associates degree for now. I'll deal with this debacle later!!!

Peace be with you all. Thanks again for your advice and insight.

    From a loyal degree seeker,

    Marshall

Marshall - you will have books just like a regular class. A great website that I have found for books that searches a bunch of different websites for the lowest price of new and used books is cheapesttextbooks.com

I have had great success with that website...good luck!

Or be like me. Amazon might not always have the absolute cheapeest. However they are always close. After factoring in shipping and handling to buy your book from five people at five shipping cost, it comes out more.

I love you amazon. They make my life a much better place.

    HI Milwilliams,

I read all the post. I have done classes thru TESC online, guided study, TECEP, Clep E-Pack.
TESC has classes worhth 6 credits, namely 3 --Social Psychology- easy just about life. Global Environmental Science-6 papers. on I found it interesting al lot of reading and some research, War and American Society. Ok 4 papers with some research on only 1 questioneach. all of these classes create 18 credits then try 9 credits of TECEP's Psy of women, Drug and Alcohol (use this site) etc.

The Tuition @ TESC for 2007 was $4300(comprehensive ) for 36credits ( I know it went up a bit for 2008)credits which includes- TESC TECEPs and guided study classes and on-line classes- midterms are taken at local college or library whereever your proctor is. the Finals are online from your computer. Very dooable.
for 27 credits the fee would be around $160/credit, but you would have the option to take more course with not extra money laided out.

Just a my input. good Luck to you

    Malle
