    Hi all,

I am scheduled to take this exam in a couple of hours. MY FIRST ONE. I took the Peterson's practice exams and scored 81, 70, and 70. Will someone please tell me if I am ready!!!!???? I am about to implode. I can't focus. HELP.

If those are your scores on the Peterson's exams then you are more than ready...you are going to destroy that test...

I was scoring in the mid-70s on Petersons and got way above what I needed to get an A.

I had the new beta version for this test so the score was on a scale of 200-500 with 400 a pass. I got a 466.

    You should have no problem...

    Default Whoa, that was HARD!!!

I can't believe I passed!!! My stomach was in knots from question 1. There were so many programming, algorithm and coding questions. It blew me away. I honestly believed I was going to fail it. I was shocked to see that I got a 63. I think I must have superb guessing skills. As mentioned before on this forum, the exam was harder than the Peterson's practice exams. It was not only the material but also the wording was....I wouldn't say confusing....but....just not real straight forward. Maybe after my mind clears, I will be able to be more specific. Just be warned, it is more in depth than the IC flashcards. Although they were definitely very helpful but I am glad I used additional resources.

In any case, I PASSED MY FIRST EXAM!!!! I honestly believe that I would not have taken that step without this website and the unbelievable support from this forum. I am the queen of procrastination and I kept saying that I was going to finish my degree with the help of the exams but I just kept wallowing in a state of indecision. What to take? How much to study? So when I called a testing center just to find out (again) what the procedure was to set up a time for testing, the woman asked it I was ready to set up a time. I surprised myself by saying "Yes." So I gave myself a week to study and what do you know, I actually did it........and PASSED. I think I am more excited now than I will be when I actually get my degree. Okay well that's probably a huge lie, but this is a good day.

Oh yeah. So just a question on the new scoring. My university, now has posted on their website that a passing score for this test is 400. Since my score is the old version, does anyone know if there will be a problem or if I have to contact the school to follow up on it?

Thanks again for the support, categ
