I just came from taking the Business in Society TECEP, so I'll share a few pointers while I'm still fresh from taking it.

I studied Business and Society by Archie Carroll and Anne Buchholtz, 6th edition. For review, I used the website connected with the book SWLearning for the practice quizzes, and I went back and read the summary at the end of each chapter. You will need to read the whole book. It's all in the test.

The first 30 questions are multiple choice (1 point each), and this part needs to be filled out on a fill-in-the-dot sheet. Then comes 5 short answer questions (5 points each). Last are the three essay questions (15 points each). They give quite a bit of room ( 2 pages) to write each of the essay questions. I don't know how much they wanted me to write, but they gave plenty of room.
I had to know about:

• Issues Management
• Levels of involvement for board members
• The 4 parts of social responsibility
• Ethical issues involved with bribes
• Interaction between government and business.

Some things I had to know about that weren't in the book:
Role of FTC
Delaney Act

I think I did ok. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'll keep you posted when I receive my results.
