Funny thing, there was a thread here about diploma mills, and the washington post just ran an article- there is a huge crack down, and people are going to jail!

Just inquiring is not a crime. According to the article, "it is not a crime to buy a phony degree, but it can be to use one fraudulently to obtain a job, a pay increase or other benefit."
This is why accreditation matters. Still, the accreditation system in the USA seems rather byzantine and archaic. -Gary- |
