Hello to everyone, this is my 1st post, glad to be around as this site has helped tremendously. Well I have a question if anyone can help? I am currently trying to get to 60 credits as quick as possible as my goal is to one day work for the NYPD. I have already completed 25 FEMA tests, Analyzing & Inter. Lit. Clep, as well as the Spanish CLEP. So in total I have 37 credits. Now I was hoping to take both the Freshman Comp w/essay as well as English comp w/essay, as I see that TESC offers 6 credits for both. My question is will one cancel the other out or will I be rewarded 6 credits a piece for each passed test? I have not enrolled in TESC yet, but was also wondering who will grade the essays? I think I read one of the essays will be graded by CLEP ( I think ) and the other would be graded by your current school. Appreciate the help everyone, thanks.

English Comp w/essay is graded by College Board (the owners of CLEP).
Freshman Comp w/essay is graded by your school (TESC). I'd imagine you have to be enrolled at TESC in order to get it graded by them, so you should just go with English Comp w/essay if you want to hold off on enrolling. As far as taking both, you cannot get credit for both. TESC considers both exams to be worth the same classes. This makes the test duplicative. Taking both will not do anything because you can only get credit for English 101 & 102 once. This does mean that if you fail one test, you do not have to wait 6 months for another shot at the credit. Just take the other test.
