Default Taking two in a day

    Hi everyone,

I am new to InstantCert and to this forum. I am studying for Intro to Pysch right now and then want to move on to Human Growth. Anyone take both? Is there a lot of overlap in the test materials on the CLEP?

Anyone want to share their experience with taking more than one CLEP in one day?

    Default Not those tests but...

I have done two CLEPs in one sitting. Went great. The computer came up with both of the tests that I had registered for (accounting, marketing). I took the difficult one first. Not sure if that is for everyone but I wanted to go home feeling good and decided ahead of time that no matter the outcome of the first it would not affect the second test. Others have described having success pump them up for the next test. I was able to work through both exams in the time that scheduled for only one so there wasn't a lot of burn out.

I'm doing the same thing this Saturday... If the Liturature gods smile, another 9 credits.

Totally off topic but I had 25 credits before my first test. I entered my status as "freshman". 6 credits and an hour later I entered my status as "sophomore." Yeah, testing is addictive.

    Welcome to the IC-Forum!!

As a matter of fact - Sociology, Psychology, Human Growth & Development, and Educational Psychology all overlap and piggyback onto one another, especially in the order listed.

Use the "search" feature above to look for any related threads as there is quite a bit of information listed already - GOOD LUCK!!!

Default My testing experiance with intro to pstch

I took the intro to psych clep today. I honestly thought I failed this test, yet up popped a 64. Dont ask me how a I studied, because I didnt study enough. Dont ask me how I passed, because I dont know. Just take into account that this "seems" to be an easier test. Best of luck.

Thank you, Brian. I think that I will study for Intro to Soc based on the feedback.

    Hi LuBee,

Welcome to the board. It's great to have you here.

All the Psychology exams have some elements that overlap with each other.....same theories, same theorists etc.

In the next two weeks or so, I will be taking Intro to Psychology, Intro to Educational Psychology, Lifespan Development Psychology, and Fundamentals of Counseling. I also just took Organizational Behavior today.

It is wise to try and 'cluster' your exams together whenever there is overlap in the material. That way you maximise your studies.

    - Anthropology, Sociology, Psychology.
    - Macreconomics, Microeconomics, Money & Banking.
    - Intro to Business Law, Business Law II.
    - Principles of Accounting, Principles of Finance.
    - Principles of Management, Principles of Supervision.
    - Biology, Natural Science
    - Humanities, Art History
    Etc.

There is nothing wrong with doing multiple exams on the same day. I have done it a few times myself. But I wouldn't do it too often, unless I was absolutely sure that I could pass them all. If there is any doubt, you would be better off taking them a few days apart. Still close together, but you'll have a couple of extra days to prepare for each one.

The prize goes to those who finish...not just to those who finish first! So there is no harm in taking your time and ensuring you pass each and every exam you take!

But yeah, I (and others) have taken three exams on the same day before. So it CAN be done!

    Best of luck,
    Snazzlefrag

    Thanks for the info, Rob.

Taking the related tests close together but a few days apart sounds like a good idea.

Congratulations avi! Perhaps you have read, learned and experienced more in life than you think. However you did it, you did it! That's awesome.

Awesome! A 64 is nothing to sneeze at.

    Keep it up,
