    Hi All,

I took DANTES Fundamentals of Counseling this morning. Not too hard of an exam if you have studied Instantcert adequately. However, I had to guess on enough questions that I am not sure what my score will be.

There were a lot of common sense type questions, and quite a few very basic terminology questions. There were also a lot of scenario type questions. These are the type of questions that I am never quite sure if I got them right or not. I won't know for sure until I have the score report in my hand.

Here are some tips for you!

    Resources:

    http://www.instantcert.com

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counseling (as always, a great overview with links to study a bit more deeply if you like)

    Librevore

I took Macroeconomics and Microeconomics in between. They kept me pretty well distracted.

I was actually disappointed that this score took so long to arrive. The score for the exam I took three days earlier (Lifespan Development Psychology) arrived in only 10 days.

There's no rhyme or reason to the timing...it just seems to be the luck of the draw.

Good for you! I knew you'd pass. You had such a good comprehension of the areas covered.

The scenario questions were a little tricky. I always wish that I could see my answers afterward.

Sorry not to have been around much. Traveling the country, dropping children off at college, plus my oldest is getting married this coming weekend.

Still plugging away at my IU courses, two exams already waiting for me at my testing site, with one to come shortly after. It's tough going with all the life events, but I'm determined to be finished with all course work by the end of September.
