I was able to find tons of stuff that was helpful for the Accuplacer test(s) online. I don't recall them now, but I just Googled "Accuplacer".

We heard the math portion was more difficult than the Algebra CLEP and our school took the CLEP as a replacement for that portion of the test. Can't beat it since it is also worth three credits! Ifyou find you fail the math portion, keep in mind you may have a second chance with the CLEP.

I had to take it about 3 years ago when I went back to school. I didn't think it was to bad except I failed the essay. I wrote one paragraph and some how the computer grades it and wants an actual essay. 5 paragraphs, intro, 3 support paragraphs and a conclusion. Hope it helps,

    Doug

My son took the Accuplacer in Nov 08 ... it had been revised and the essay was not required. Not sure if it is just for that school though.

If you score well enough then you do NOT need to do an essay. You find out when you complete the test. If you don't score very well you will need to write an essay. I didn't have to do the essay and I am not grammar wiz.
