Hi, I am new to clep and i have a question i wanted to ask. Does the college accept all the clep exam listed in Collegeboard without dashes? for example in Temple University in order for them accept the clep credit is depend on the curriculum i'm in such as Computer Science or it doesnt matter which clep i take still counted as elective course? Thanks need a quick response before i start earning clep credit

    Hi,
The CLEPs are almost always accepted, but it will all depend on your college. Some degree programs require you to take a class vs. taking a CLEP in its place because you might need a letter grade instead of a "P" for Pass. The college where my sister is going to requires her to take courses and no CLEPs (I think she's going for Physical Therapist), even for the basic requirments like Eng, His, Gov, and Algebra. It is important that you speak with an advisor before you start knocking out a lot of CLEPs and then realize that you might not be able to use them.
This is just what I recommend.
    Good Luck

    Question new too.

hi im also new in this world of clep and online schooling. i am an LVN and working on getting my RN i signed up with the college network and they provided me with the material to study for the clep. i really wish i would have known before that i didn't need to do that. its a good thing that i have most of my prerequisites done so i only had to pay for a few classes. i took my first CLEP last month it was sociology and i passed with a 75 which was pretty good i guess. i was really worried about studying a whole subject and then testing on it but it wasn't that bad. unfortunately my next clep is information systems which is something that i really don't like so im having a hard time staying on track. i am half way through the book and i will test on it hopefully in January. i was reading through some posts and i saw someone talking about a FEMA test at the risk of sounding ignorant what is a FEMA test?

There are many posts about FEMA that should answer most questions. Just search for FEMA.
