Default New exams? Any for ECE?

The main website says that a couple of exams are added monthly - is that true, and do you all see a trend to cover more ECE exams?

I've got a number I want to take that I have some professional exposure to, so don't want to do the full scale course if I don't have to (like Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business Law) and would love to have a test preparation validation tool like this.

Other than this site and IStudySmart - are there any other tools out there that people are using to prepare for the ECE exams? I'll post separately about looking for help with which to take.

Using the Excelsior bookstore, find out which book they recommend, but don't buy the book. Use the Publisher's website to find an on-line student companion website to the book. Most publishers are supporting their books with websites that include practice quizzes, essay questions, web links, research etc.

If you can't find one, try looking for your subject directly under a publishers name, like MacGraw-Hill etc., for a book that has a student companion website. It takes a little web searching but you can usually find one. I've used this tool for multiple classes including Abnormal Psychology, Drugs and Alcohol, Civil War etc. and never had to buy the book to use the site.

    Here's a good one with multiple disciplines-http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/

Yes, we are moving towards ECEs. We just added Psychology of Adulthood and Aging and are currently working on Gerontology. After Gerontology will probably be Abnormal Psychology.

Also, some of the Dantes materials we have are applicable towards the ECEs of the same name (on the member's course list page, the Dantes that are good for ECEs are marked)

Thanks for the clarification - I guess I assumed that the upper level tests (ECE) might have more in depth material than the CLEPs, but it may be more a weighting issue (more of the harder questions that appear on the CLEPs, and not as many softball questions).

I was just curious to any proposed time frames when these other two tests will be available for study. Thanks

I second the above question, is there a ECD (Estimated Completion Date) for said guides? I'm sure some of us would work on other requirements and wait for your study guides to come out verses blindly reading multiple text books and hoping we covered the required material. And yes, this means we're lazy that, or we have a life and this comes second to work and family. Thanks!

Sorry I never responded! I haven't followed the forum very closely for the past couple of weeks; luckily our moderators seem to have things well in hand.

As for your questions, there are no hard completion dates. Gerontology is coming along nicely and should be done around the 30th of this month. After that, it may be another month to month and a half for Abnormal Psych.

In the future, if you have any questions specifically for me, please consider emailing me at webmaster@instantcert.com
