    Hi Sarah10,

I am a newbie to this forum too, but I very recently took the college math clep and made it. yahoooooo

I am a routine visitor of the specific feedback section of InstantCert. I followed the advice given by the clep gurus on this forum.

I prioritized my study based on the books in their order of importance.

    Order of priority:
    1. Review for the CLEP General Mathematics Examination by Comex systems

    2. The Princeton Review - Cracking the Clep 5th edition

    3. InstantCert

    4. CLEP College Mathematics w/CD-ROM (REA) - The Best Test Prep

    5. West Texas A&M math lab

    6. Peterson's guide

I concentrated more on the first 4 items. Hope this info is helpul for u.

I hope u crack the college math exam and pass with flying colors. Let us know how u do.

    Good luck to u.

There are loads of good maths resources on the net for college math courses.

One of the best-structured sites for this level is:

    Purplemath

Excellent for refreshing inequalities, graphing, linear algebra, complex numbers and synthetic division, amongst other things. The local search engine is a big bonus and there are plenty of worked examples.

As always, the best way to learn how to answer a particular type of question is to study that type of question and practice until you've got it. Once you've got it, you'll be very grateful if it appears on any test.

I used Instant Cert. And I also used Yourteacher.com Clep Mathematics Preperation section. I used them both together to cover all test requirements.

I used the Comex college math study guide as well as the Princeton Review "Cracking the CLEP." These two guides were indispensable. Using basically only these two guides, I passed with a 74. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Also, check out this thread if you have not already done so:

    Oops! Sorry!

I just realized that you already passed this test. I didn't need to post my previous comment.
