    Default FEMA and COSC

I used FEMA credits to complete my associates of applied science degree from TESC and then had my transcript sent to Charter Oak State College to be applied towards a Bachelor in general studies. After receiving my transcript, I have been told that they will not accept my FEMA credits unless it comes in the form of a transcript from Fredricks College. Has any one experienced difficulty in transferring these credits from TESC to COSC?

I transfered my fema credits to Excelsior and had no problem. They accepted 24 of 29. In regards to COSC, I always wondered waht their policy was.I would ask them to expalin to you how the credits are different than transferring it in via Fredricks and pour over their policies looking to see what the transfer requirements are.
If it says that they accept credits from all accedited colleges, then they have a strange double standard and ask them to clarify. Be really nice about it, but persistant. And then be even nicer. Ask for them to check into the policy and re-evaluate it. If they won't budge for whatever reason, then take your fema credits and head back to EC or TESC. I'm sure that you can obtain your goal from those colleges and they will take the credit.

Please post and let me know how it goes. I am almost finished with my AS at EC and have thought about COSC for my BS.

Just to clarify, did Excelsior accept the FEMA credits directly from your credit with FEMA, or was there an intermediary body that accepted the credits first?

    Thanks in advance.

I had to credit bank via TESC. $350 for 24 credits. Comes to about 14.50 per credit.
I think the fee has gone up to $380. I still think it is a great deal if you are looking to knock out a bunch of App Pro credits.
