I finally studied for and sat this test. I went on a vacation to Germany and took care of my side business for a few weeks so I am now playing catch-up.

I started off by downloading and reading the PRB documents for World Population:

I then downloaded the ECE guide for this test and took the practice test only AFTER I did all my studying. I wanted to gauge my knowledge of the material, not learn the test. (Tried to attach but it was too large according to IC rules)

And finally....... I read the World Population book, 8th edition, by John Weeks (OK... so I only read the main points at the end of each chapter). I checked it out at the library, so no cost there.

As I took the 130 question test, I felt at ease, but wondered who all the people were who thought it was a walk in the park, if I hadn't prepared I would have failed failed failed. It was very general without focusing too much in any one area. I thought I passed but I thought I passed the ECE HRM test too so I won't get cocky till I see a grade, then I'm sure I'll join in saying it was the easiest test ever! Hope this helps someone, Lee

Well it was only 4 months ago that I took this, I really doubt it changed any in that amount of time. As far as the brain dump goes, I believe this is the most detailed collection of resources that I've seen on the forum; but please feel free to use the search option and check for yourself. I wrote this test two weeks ago, and prepared by using the ECE material. Make sure you go over the test questions which are on the ECE prep material and make sure you understand the questions well.
I only prepared quickly (2 days) for this exam and passed (with a C , but at least passed).

Now I am studying for this World pop now, and follow by Adulthood/Aging Gerontology. Any tips on these two courses of Study ?

Caution! That Omaha test credits correct answer for saying that Malthus claimed that population grows in a linear fashion (#4.B.) That's BS. The right answer is D, "population increases in a exponential manner while food supply can only increase in a linear, or straight line fashion." (John Weeks 78) Also, shouldn't it be spelled "an exponential manner?" <English is not my 1st language> What a stupid grading scale too. Any score 60 and above could mean 2 different grades.


In the other quizzes there are questions like how many people have safe drinking water, how many African women will die, total # of vehicles in the US... is any of that crap on the real test as well? Cause I can't answer one question on this quiz after reading Weeks and all the bulletins.
