I am going to take the History I test early next week and was wondering if any of you have taken it and if you had any helpful tips to share.
I read one CLEP study book that was pretty decent and I can cruise through the flashcards and get only one or two wrong per section. Any Suggestions?? Thanks! |

You're talking about US History I, right?
You sound like you have a good grasp on the materials. I would try to take some practice tests before taking the exam. Aside from the one in the CLEP Official Guide, REA's tests are indicative of what to expect for the real thing (also, the review guide covers some materials not touched on in IC). Overall, this exam is easier than US History II. Hope it goes well for you. Tell us how you did!

An obvious tip is to concentrate your studying more heavily towards the 1790-1877 era. Since this is more then double the earlier period then your time should be spent likewise.
