Will we be required to write an essay for this test??

I have been reading the flashcards over and over.

I also have the AP U.S. History book (2nd edition-2005)

Do I need the REA book as well?

Should I buy any other books?

The AP book says that there will be an essay, is that true?

How do you guys remember all of the things in the flashcards?

No, there isn't an essay for this exam just multiple choice questions. Here are some other study sources to consider.....

Other Sources of CLEP & DSST Study Material
REA Books, Comex Books, Pass Your Class Guides, Standard Deviants DVD's, Petersons Practice Exams, Dummies Books, Idiot's Guides .

I write down the main things for the sections (for the first section, de Soto, Balboa, Spanish Armada etc.) and that way I have a reference and I can piece things together. I'm assuming you're talking about US History I, but a good way for US History II is to memorize all the presidents in order.
