Did anyone on here take the Chemistry CLEP? If so, any advice on what to expect (equations etc.)? Thanks!

    Clep80,

It looks like you might have been one of the first to attempt this one. Did you take it? If you did, do you have any feedback on materials and what to study?

    Anyone else?

    Thank you in advance,
    Librevore

    Hi ngoenka-welcome to the forum.

I haven't taken the test yet. While studying for other exams, I am working my way through this subject a little each night. I don't have any background so it may take a bit.

For materials I finally decided on the Idiots Guide to Chemistry along with a college text book by Raymond Chang. From what I could tell on Amazon he is considered the standard at most universities. I read the Idiots Guide to get the basic idea and then work through the same info in the text book along with working the problems. Its a bit slow but it is working. The textbooks are not hard to find cheaply. Our thrift store had a couple of them at $2 each.

Haven't seen these but another one of our "classmates" here at IC recommended the Standard Deviant Chemistry DVD's. Said it was helpful. I'm looking for an inexpensive set.

Hope this helps! If you want to, let me know if you decide to study this. It would be fun to have someone to occassionally share notes with. (Edit-you too clep80. Just let me know!)
