Default Interesting Info For Military Members & ECE

Well I just found out why I have not received the score on my retake of the ECE Human Resource Management. It seems that even though you can retake them after 60 days, Dantes will not pay for it unless you wait 180 days. This is because even though it is an ECE test, Dantes pays for them under the military clause, thus we fall under their rules on retaking failed courses. So here I sit with them having the test in their hands, but they won't score it unless I pay the $190.00.

I opted to pay for it and will find the score out tomorrow. No stress here ..... If I passed, then it was the best money ever spent. If I fail, I think I might be a bit P/O. I know all of the non-military are probably laughing right now as this is what you have to do every time. I'll post tomorrow and let ya'll know how it turned out. Lee

Default Well The Gamble Paid Off!!

Excelsior was good on their promise of getting it scored and the results to me. I got a "C" !! I evidently squeeked by but as we always say, a pass is a pass. Hopefully this gives others hope as well. The ECE Human Resource Management test was the only test for me to fail, so far, and I "thought" I knew the material. I am so glad to get this one out of the way! This leaves 3 more tests and my English class to complete in the next two months, very doable I think. Thanks for everyones encouragement when I failed this, it helped me get over the shock and back into the test mode. Lee

Are you trying to get your degree done in a hurry? 180 days seems like to long to wait to re-test. If you can wait that long you can retest and replace that C with an A. Best of luck.

    Casey,
Putting it really nicely, I don't really care that much about this degree. It is a tool, to open a door, to get paid more once I retire from the military next year. The faster I get this done, the faster I can get back to the things I enjoy (Being a Dad/Husband/friend, my side business, my hobbies ect ect). I thought my experience would be enough to land a decent job, but the sad fact is: unless you have a college diploma, you're more than likely not going to find a good paying job. I don't even feel like this is something I will rank in my top ten life accomplishments. It's more like something I had to do, verses something I wanted to do. When this is all over, my feelings may change, but for now I just want to finish.

Sort of a long explanation as to why I didn't want to wait Lee
