Well this test was a bear (scrored a 52). I took the electronic format today and had enough time to review it twice, 106 questions. I used IC and Prometric practice exams for this test only (those are all you need but study hard).
Here is what you need to know: Be sure to know everything about: Sedative Hypnotics Opiates Stimulants Hallucinogins Trade names, street names, effect on the body, withdrawal symptoms, symptoms of addiction, how these drugs interact and potentiate with each other, what impact an overdose would have. About 75% of the test I only got maybe 10% of the test covering Alcohol and Tobacco if not less. Also know what agencies control what and when they were created! The rest of the exam 15% was misc stuff. |

Well I am going to do Principles of Statistics (dsst) next. I have passed 5 tests in the last 7 weeks so I am on a role. My finals for my regular classes are going to kill me next month so I want to do three more then focus on them. I have a few more in mind I need to due and it really doesn't matter in what order as they all have to be done sooner or later. I just hope this ends soon because with work, the children and this I am nearing exhaustion.

Sounds like my situation exactly! I feel for you. I'm working full time, enrolled in full-time traditional classes, and I've tested out of 5 classes in 7 weeks too. I'll be doing 3 more in the next two weeks, starting with Criminal Justice tomorrow. AND, I have a wife and a two year old! I guess we're crazy, but at least we're spreading our misery over the shortest amount of time by testing out of classes!

Bongsau,
I noticed in your list the tests you have taken and still have to take X tests. I took Principles of Supervision about 3 weeks ago and it wasn't that bad. I used Prometric and DSST study guide (no IC). and I passed with ease. What did you use for Rise and Fall of the Soviet Union? CLEP Introduction to Psychology Macroeconomics Microeconomics Principles of Management Intro to Sociology History of the United States 2 Since 1865 DSST Here’s to your Health Drug and Alcohol Abuse Principles of Supervision Management Information Systems NEXT Introduction to Statistics (studying now for) Ethics in America Civil War and the Reconstruction Rise & Fall of the Soviet Union Astronomy Principles of Public Speaking Technical Writing College Algebra American Government (need to retake Dec 06) Last edited by xn85turbo : 11-08-2006 at 07:20 AM. |

Hello all, just wanted to get everyone's opinion on D & A (paper) which I will be taking later this month. Is IC good enough to pass or should I seek out more resources? The reason I ask is that this will be my first U/L test and I'm not sure if I should study 2x harder or use 2x resources? I have a tendency to overstudy at times going into the tests, helps my confidence but not necessarily my scores.....!

I used ONLY InstantCert and Wikipedia, but mostly InstantCert. However, I feel that I had the upper hand on this one because I speak fluent Russian and have lived in Russia for 4 years. All those funny names and places sound perfectly normal to me, so they are easier to memorize and such. It is a tough test, to be sure, but I believe that Instant Cert and Wikipedia are probably enough for most people.
