    Default Business Policy

Ok, I took the TECEP Business Policy test! As described in the TECEP literature, there were 30 mc questions and some essay questions. The exam as such was not very hard, I would say Dantes level, but an aweful lot of writing was required.

If you take this exam, make sure to study:

    Basics of strategic management
    Porter's strategies
    Diversification
    Product life cycle
    BCG Growth Matrix
    International Stategy
    GE Matrix

I think basically this website will cover most of it http://www.quickmba.com/strategy/, however I also studied the recommended book (Strategic Management by Wheelen) by looking up the website for the book at Prentice Hall and answering all the questions on each chapter. Saved my notes and studied them. Only last week did I come across the MBA reference which I think is still the best.

My guess, you could pass by seriously studying the MBA website and basics on the Strategic Management book. But then again: I don't know if I passed

I'll let you know in 6 months when I get the anwers back , let the wait begin

Hmmmm.... Let us know the outcome. I'm revising my plan as soon as you give us the good news! So you did Business Strategy before Operations Management?

    Hi Christa-
Thank you so much for the feedback! This is on my list to take. Please let us know how you did.

Is this test answered totally on paper like Dantes or is it computer based including the essay questions?

No, I think it's more like 2 months honestly, however after instant CLEP gratification, it feels like 6 months!

The exam is completey pencil and paper, a real pain not being able to type of the answers. I could do a lot better if I could erease and improve my answers, as I am used to doing when I type. If I fail this test, it will be exactly because of that!

WELL DONE Christa! We knew you could do it! I hope to be following in your footsteps next month.

Looks like it took just about a month to get your results, right? Makes waiting for the Dantes results seem not so bad after all!

    Good luck with Operations Management!
