    Default clep intro to computing

I have studied the instacert guide for clep intro to computing but i noticed the peterson practice tests on the links provided in another posting seems like largely different material. Has anyone taken this test recently? I didn't see any comments on it. Thanks.

BTW i just passes princ. of mgmnt with a 74 using instacert and rea.

HI Upgray...I would say study the Instacert material. From the postings I have read, majority of people have passed using InstaCert only. I didn't use InstaCert and used only the Peterson's questions and I missed the test by one. I was shocked because it was my first and only failure and the test seemed fairly easy with the exception of the programing questions. After that I've used only InstaCert and am waiting the Dantes results from my last test. Good Luck!!

    Hi Upgray,

As a last minute supplement to your study, the online mocks may be useful, but I would not rely solely on them to guage my readiness for the real exam.

I have invariably scored lower on the Petersons mock exams than I did on the actual exams. I feel that Petersons often quiz you on information you won't need for the real exam and also phrase their questions/answers slightly differently.

AFTER I have finished studying for a subject, I do usually log on and take their mocks though....just to see how I do!

    Hope that helps,
    Snazzlefrag

    Default thanks

thanks for the advice, i just took information systems clep a few hours ago and got a 64. i feel like i did a whole lot of educated guessing but the instantcert was a lot closer than petersons.
