Starting capstone Monday - freaked out
#1
I may be dense but I cannot figure out how to do the class things and what to do for it. The directions seem daunting. Probably due to all the stress I'm under currently!
Is it really this difficult to do the capstone?
I'm doing the online one since it was reportedly easier grade wise. I think I screen captured 6 pages of instructions!
I got to the moodle, I see the prof welcome. Then there's a long list of requirements of what to say or not say. When to say it. What to add. Etc.
I think I need 2 books. There's no way I can get them by Monday!
Can someone do me like a child and give me baby institutions for this? Hahaha!

First off, it's just a capstone, don't be scared, you've completed courses HARDER than this in the latter years of High School...
Or at least similar courses that required some researching... anyways, you're there, you have 3 months to complete the tasks.
You can quickly search online for the text and get them sent to you while you review what is required and start placing
dates on your calendar to get items completed by then... track your progress with that calendar daily/weekly. Good luck.

BALS SS capstone?

Do you really need the books by Monday? Amazon has a lot of books with 1 day shipping if you really do. Or get the ebook version.

I agree that you shouldn't stress too much about the capstone. It's a good chunk of work, but it can be done and you'll be fine.

But I disagree that anything in highschool was hard, haha.

Don't stress about the books. You might not even need them. I only bought the Writing the Winning Thesis book and I skimmed through it in the first week and haven't touched it since. I'm not saying it wasn't useful, but you don't need to rush to get it Everything else you need to know about writing the paper you can get through the Purdue Owl website. Who is your professor? If your class goes anything like mine you will be asked to introduce yourself on the forums this week and "think about your topic". You won't even be submitting your first module for a few weeks. Don't stress. It's one of the easiest classes I've taken. Just long. I've had my paper written since week 4 and have been bored out of my mind.

I bought both books, opened one of them once, and it didn't seem relevant at all. Never looked at it again.

I think you're looking at something else, this is not the TECEP for Strategic Management (Business Capstone).

They're referring to the BALS/BA.SS capstone which is a completely different beast... it's all good though...

You definitely want the book for the Business TECEP. You need to memorize many lists directly out of the book.
