Modern States - still free?
#1
I thought Modern State's free CLEP voucher program was over, but I'm still seeing people talk about it like it's active. I can't find anything on their website. Does anyone have updated info?

This is their original press about it, from May https://modernstates.org/wp-content/uplo...r-Free.pdf

Yes, I am on their mailing list and they just emailed 5 days ago saying they pay the $85 CLEP fee. This email says for the first 10,000 students.

When they send me emails, they do say to email Whitney for the voucher.

The courses all appear to be 6 hours per week for 4 weeks. Is it necessary to spread it out over 4 weeks to get the voucher? Can you do 12 hours per week for 2 weeks or 6 hours per day for 4 days? How long does it take to get a voucher?

Most or all of them can be done faster.

She was usually replying to the voucher request in 1-2 business days.

I was able to complete the two courses I took in a couple days each. I then emailed Whitney and usually got the voucher the next business day.

Can someone explain how the Modern States voucher is redeemed? Does MS send you a promotional code that an be used on the College Board website?  Or is it a pre-purchased ticket (with ticket number) that I can take to any testing center?

Whitney actually sends a detailed explanation on how to use the voucher when you send the request.

Also, you still have to pay the sitting fee ($30, usually), but they will reimburse you via check if you scan and email her the receipt.
