It will pass. It's a powerful drug. You won't want one next year, hang strong.

Well, everyone here is making me wish I had thought a little harder about my screen name.

I decided on the name OnMyWay because I'm on my way to reaching goals I've set for myself and creating some new ones along the way. I thought that it was fitting for a forum of this nature. I have a few different screen names I use elsewhere though.

    Smile Mom travels

Anne (pronounced Ah-nay) means mom in Turkish. It is what my sons call me. We have lived in Turkey on and off, and still have a house there. Actually, we just returned to NY a few months ago. I have traveled all over the world. I never seem to stay anywhere very long thus the 'travels'. This is my very first post on this forum!

    Peppamint...

I was drinking peppermint tea while I was at home on a sick day (I think from salmonella tomatoes ) when I stumbled upon this site.

More evidence of my jaded sense of humor than my creative side. ...eh. I too have several screen names, my favorite being some variant of "Marclar". But I love peppermint tea and testing out of classes, so I thought this would be appropriate.

Pop quiz ! For 1/85th of one clep credit... Who knows what marclar is?

I wish there was such a thing as peppermint coffee! I haven't been able to get to sleep before 1:00am since I joined IC. If I'm not on the flash cards, I'm in the forum. I'm obsessed now!

Well, according to my Mo' Urban Dictionary, a Marclar is defined in the following ways: Used on planet Marclar to replace all nouns. Any person, or thing. Used as a substitue noun.

"Holy Marclar, Marclar, what the Marclar, was that Marclar doing"?

Not exactly Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary but sometimes a gal's gotta make do. So, am I right? If so, shoot that 1/85 of a credit over to TESC for me, will ya?

Default This is a great thread

I can't believe I never saw this thread before. It is so much fun I had to read the WHOLE thing.

I am one of the very unoriginal Linda is my first name Ger the first three letters of my last. I use Lindager or Lindagerr on most of my screen & e-mail names. My husband is billger or willgerr, but my son has the best name he is Danger. and he loves using that with his birth day so if you see danger118 somewhere (mostly on WOW) it is my son.

I would love to see more of our newer members join this thread.

BTW Jennifer I always thought the Cook was because of what you do, that is cool that it was/is your name.

Default Mine is not original at all........

My name was actually chosen by my ex-husband a couple of years ago. We had a Chow Chow named Jade and my ex was setting up a new computer for me. He asked what I wanted as a screen name and I couldn't think of anything original (then or now, I guess).

So, he came up with Jadechow. And, I got it in the divorce and have been using it ever since. BTW, the dog was mine waaaaay before we got married so it's only fair that I got Jadechow in the settlement agreement.

The funny thing is when I email people, I always think they picture me as some hot, Asian chick. LOL - nothing could be further from the truth! Unfortunately.

    Linda,
I know funny huh? How COULD I possibly drop that?? I read in my social psych class that there is a disproportionate number of people who choose professions tied to their name. Also, street addresses, towns, etc. Ex. Many people named Lawrence are lawyers. There are many doctors who have great last names that were examples tied to their specialties (Dr. Head the neurosurgeon lol)

My maiden name is Cook (I went on to become a chef)
My husband's last name is DeRosa, I always like his name. This name may have appealed to me since my family name is Roseman.
My hubby and I just bought a house with what we thought was a very nice sounding address. The house number 4- the same as the number of children we have and our street name is Deer, the same name as the company my dad and grandpa worked for 35+ years.
Meaningful? No, but fun and quirky.

    Your son's name is awesome!
