I immediately started my MS degree the second my BS degree was conferred. Then I launched into a new career with a crazy schedule and all kinds of new training... it's been a wild ride! I'm spending more time on school now that my work life is finally settling down, but I'm not in near the hurry I was while finishing my bachelors degree. I'm stopping to smell the roses this time around, spending lots of time with family and friends. Life is short and I won't need the graduate degree credential for several years anyway.

    Hi Namivie,

You are not the only one!!! I walked out of the last test for my last course and before I got to my car I was wondering...now what? I know, I'm nuts! It's been an all consuming 2 years for me with my face always in a book and NO spare time. I'm still a busy person, but feel I want to do something more than work and raise the family. Have you gotten so used to working toward a goal that there is a void after the goal has been reached? I'm considering grad school now, and studying for PRAXIS tests too, but believe it or not, I actually miss studying for my BA degree. It became a way of life that I learned to enjoy. I'm sure glad to hear that I'm not the only one wondering, what now? Imagine that, me, ambitious!!!!

    Marian

    Default my answer

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only one wondering what's next.

I'm going to get my alternate teaching certification and try and get a job. My dad has actually started hinting that I should get a PhD and I almost laughed (and cried). I just can't see that far ahead yet. At this point, I can only seem to manage to look at the next test.....or the next assignment....

I've learned I can juggle about 20 things at one time -- but give me only housework or cooking and I'm kinda lost. Hmm....I may have to work on that.
