ASU's non-proctored courses

The Congratulations page seems to indicate that the completion link and the credit conversion are two separate steps:

1. Complete the End of Course Survey on the next page
We value your ideas and comments on how meaningful and valuable this course was for you.  Please share your thoughts so we can make this course and any other courses you may take in the Universal Learner Courses catalog a better experience.

2. When you're done with the course, use the link at the bottom of the Modules area to complete your coursework
At the bottom of the Modules area, there's a link for you to confirm your course completion to the Universal Learner Courses staff.  By clicking this link and the submit button on that page, you are concluding your coursework and you will not be able to submit any additional work.

3. If you earned a grade of 70% or above, consider converting this course for college credit
The university credit you earn by taking this course is 100% authentic, and you can apply it toward a college degree, whether online at ASU, an ASU campus, or another university. If you plan to transfer the credit to another institution, it is strongly encouraged that you consult with your institution of choice to determine how these credits will be applied to their degree requirements prior to doing so.  Visit ASU Universal Learner Courses: How Earning Credit Works (Links to an external site.) to learn more.

I've searched around for some way to convert it for credit, but I haven't found anything so far. Clicking on the "View course results" button brings me to a "You don't have access to view this resource." page. I'm guessing that it will take time to process, and I will eventually have more options.

Today the "View course results" button changed to an "Access Course" button, but it still results in the Access Denied page. I'm not sure if I should reach out to support at some point?

The exact same thing happened to me, although when I click "Access Course" it takes me to Canvas and I can still access the course. Perhaps this is because I am enrolled in another ULC course that also uses Canvas (CIS 308). I haven't reached out to support because I am not in a hurry to get this course transcripted. I don't plan to take any more courses on the Google IT Support Specialist certificate.

I opened a support ticket, and they got back to me to say that it takes about a week before the "Add to Transcript" button appears. So I guess we'll see what happens next week!

I did the live chat and asked how long I should expect to wait for the option to convert CIS194 to credit. I suggested that maybe I messed something up because I finalized my progress before I paid the $25 fee. The person opened an IT support ticket.

Support emailed me and told me that it is not currently possible to convert CIS194 Business Technology Fundamentals. The conversion should be available next week. But the next course in the Google IT Support Specialist certificate path is ready for enrollment and I was asked whether I wanted to be enrolled.

I really cannot say enough nice things about the ULC support team. I've found the live chat agents to be knowledgeable and able to help with all of my questions. They can open tickets for me and I also get a quick response.

Update from ASU ULC:

Quote:Our CIS 194 Business Technology Fundamentals is not set up to convert for ASU credit yet.  I will email you when this is an option.  We are hoping to have this ready for credit conversion by next week.

I don't know where this ends, but I'm starting to suspect it's not the cheap graded RA credit that we hoped it would be. But I'm still hopeful.. and trying to be very patient.

However, I'm in week 4 of Clackamas, so maybe I'll get that credit before ASU  Big Grin
