I am new to InstantCert. I am just getting started in school. I would like to attempt to test out of some classes. Can anyone suggest the best classes to start with? Does it make a difference if you take the CLEP tests or the DANTES?

Welcome! It would be helpful to know more information about your situation. For instance, what is the degree that you are planning for? What kind of classes do you feel are your best subjects? General Ed classes are usually good tests to start with. They are usually intro type courses and then work up to the harder ones. I would start with one that you feel interested in and that will motivate you to study. Check out 'Specific Exam Feedback' and see what other forum members recommend to study for that test. But we definitely need more info from you so we can provide more input

There is very little difference between the CLEP and Dantes tests. My recommendation is to find a subject you are good at and start there.

Its been awhile since I started, but I think it is important to check with the school you are planning on obtaining your Associates or Bachelors. If you are attempting a local college it would be beneficial to check on the regulations as to how many credits they will accept from tests and which tests they recognize. My local community college would only allow thirty credits and only CLEP and not DSST.
Personally I think the Intro to Sociology is one of the easiest CLEP tests that I encountered. The hardest for me was biology.
