All Upper Level (UL) Options for TESU BALS

That course was Human Sexuality, which if I remember right is offered on Shmoop.
I don't know for sure if the Shmoop course will come in as UL but it may be worth trying. If nothing else it would fill in your electives.

The course I took through Shmoop came in as PSY-232 - Intro to Human Sexuality.  I sure wish it came in as UL!

How weird! I wonder why the discrepancy. Then again, my general chemistry class didn't count for the science requirement, my statistics didn't go towards quantitative literacy, and my general psych didn't go to knowledge of human cultures. I'll take the UL credit to make up for the plethora of credits winding up in free electives instead of where they belong o.O

I think that happens because it's automated... so courses end up in strange places. The only way to get the right courses in the right spots is to make an appointment with academic advising and have a real person look at it! Smile

On the thread http://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/showthre...?tid=26967 I have a spreadsheet posted with the TESU equivalencies for Uexcel options, you can sort it to UL

Doesn't one of the free TEEX courses come in as upper-level? (I assume you can use all three of them on your BALS. Aren't "free electives" allowed on that degree plan?)

What if you're doing a BALS without a concentration?  Would they count in that case?

If TEEX comes in as "free electives" and not under the Liberal Studies category, then no it wouldn't count. But I have no idea if that TEEX UL course falls under one of their liberal studies categories or not

The TEEX course Cybersecurity for Business Professionals comes in as UL, CIS-344, 2cr.  It should go into the BALS AOS, and count towards your 18cr of UL.  Cybersecurity for IT Professionals comes in as UL, CAP-385, 2cr.  It shouldn't go into the AOS, but since it will count in the BSBA CIS AOS, who knows!  But, it certainly can't hurt to contact TESU and ask about both, and get them planned into your degree.
