Allied Health General Science Courses?

Suggestions for places to get general allied health science courses?

Preference would be given to courses that are most likely to transfer (I know it's up to the school) to a community college, are as cheap as possible, are RA, come with a letter grade, and come from non-ACE credit sources. The school in question "accept[s] ACE credit for review, but may or may not approve it for credit." You know the drill. They won't give me a straight answer regarding courses outside of their institution.

Examples:  A&P I + Lab, A&P II + Lab, Microbiology, Genetics, Physio/Bio/pathology, Nutrition.

I know this has been answered, but I can only find bits and pieces here and there (and some of it is old info).

None of this needs to be UL, and speed is not a factor. Main concern here is transferability and cost.

*** As a side question:  how common is it for SdC's A&P+Lab not to actually transfer as that to schools that accept ACE credit from what any of you have seen?

Your best options are the community colleges in your state.  If you're unable to find anything inexpensive, or online, you can try NJMC as they have some of the courses you're looking at.  In regards to Study.com courses transferring to other colleges, it all depends on the institution receiving the credit.  For the Big 3, and the Competency Based providers we walk about, they should take the courses... other institutions, it's safer to ask the institutions because some schools indicate they take ACE but most of them "don't know their own rules".  The wiki also has options as well: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Obscure_Credits

I recall clovis CC from new mexico being quite cheap and having a range of science courses for allied health.

This is pretty close to the cheapest I've seen for these kinds of classes. In Texas, unfortunately, being out of district means expensive as all get out.

In Texas, CCs aren't always cheap. Further, being out of district (even by the two miles that I am), there's little recourse other than to pay some god-awfully high price. I've even considered moving a few miles up the road in hopes of resolving this. Regardless, I respect your input! You're always helpful and informative, and I appreciate that.

As far as asking for info from the school itself, I've asked. Perhaps I wasn't specific enough with them, but they are non-committal (and quite frankly, not very helpful).

Have you looked into the Digital Higher Education Consortium of Texas? It used to be the Virtual College of Texas. You pay your local community college's rate, but you can take online courses at other partner colleges.

I tried looking at it a while ago and couldn't find anything, so I figured it was gone. Heh.

I'm literally like two miles outside of the boundaries for Lone Star College. Further, Houston Community College has a campus out here in Katy, and because of the infinite wisdom of the folks in Katy, they decided to not become a part of the district because of taxation. So, even though there's a branch campus here 45 seconds down the street from me, no dice with that either. It's so frustrating.

I'll take a look at course sharing.

Depending on the household income, you may be able to take all the requirements towards a degree at this particular university instead.  I would try getting a degree using all the resources they would accept, example, if they accept CLEP/MS and ACE.  You want to email them to verify and then create a degree plan with a spreadsheet to reference and track courses.
