Maybe taking both Saylor's and SDC's Computer Architecture and adding both to ACE would give you a better chance of being able to PLA that course than just taking the no-longer-accepted SDC one. Not sure about Operating Systems, though.

Saylor does not have a computer architecture with a valid ACE credit.

You're right. I think I confused it with Software Engineering.

ITSC 1405 - 4 Credits - Intro. to PC Operating Systems @ South Texas College.

For out-of-state students, it would be $800 tuition + I think $45 in fees. That works out to about $212/credit. Not great, but not the worst either. This one has no prerequisites and is part of the "Information & Network Systems" certificate or "Bachelor of Applied Technology" degree.

They also have a 4-credit LL "CPMT-1443 Microcomputer Architecture" course. If you're in Texas, taking both of these classes would run you about $700 instead of around $1600.

Quote: This course is a study of personal computer operating systems. Topics include installation and configuration, file management, memory and storage management, control of peripheral devices, and use of utilities.

I'd imagine it's lower-level CIS credit.

TESU's Operating Systems is LL anyway. As long as it meets the "Operating Systems" requirement, it should be fine.

Rachel, South Texas College is offering Computer Oranization and Microcomputer Architecture. they look the same maybe you can transfer that to TESU as LL Computer Architecture.

I have to say that I am so glad my two sons finished and received their diplomas in BSBA with a concentration in CS and Associates in CS.  I don't think I could ever figure everything with all the new changes.  I have only half way tried since I still have a bit of Covid brain. Thank you again everyone for all your help here.  Bless the brave and smart ones that continue to figure all this out.  You are warriors!

I will still read here because I have a daughter still attending TESU with a BSBA with a concentration in Marketing.  She is currently taking her Cornerstone (Critical Info) and only has that and her Capstone left.
