American Government CLEP - Am I ready?
#1
I am looking to take the American Government CLEP test within the next 4 - 5 days, depending on my schedule. Recent scores from REA practice tests are a 64% and a 61%. Then, using the CLEP Study Guide 2014, scored a 54%. (Currently, I am concerned with this final score.) Should I consider going in for the test? Thanks in advance! Big Grin

The REA exams are really quite similar to the CLEP exams. If I were you I would quickly look through the glossary to see if I know all the terms and take the exam. Maybe its somewhat of the risk but being who I am for me it would be worth the risk...May you have lots of luck. Ive done that with a few of my CLEP exams....

Good to know. I found the Study Guide test to be much harder than the REA tests... I will definitely look around through the glossary for terms that I may not be familiar with. Thanks for the advice. (More is still welcome, of course!)

I found American Government to be one of the harder exams. Free Practice Clep Tests! - Free-Clep-Prep.com also has a practice exam it wouldn't hurt to try. Also be sure you know which rights are added in which amendments and which major court cases defined these rights.

Already tried the free-clep-prep test. Thanks though! Big Grin I tried fairly early on in my studies and got a 48%. Tried again recently and got a 73%. I'm finding that the test difficulty varies from test to test quite majorly regarding American Government.

I would try the set of quizlet flashcards I made. I studied that solely and passed with a 57. Set of 172 terms.

Hello,

I took Am Gov't earlier this year failed miserably. It was totally my fault as I didn't study enough (roughly >2 days). I honestly felt that it was quite difficult. I do recall most of the material from the exam, I will send you a PM with the info.
