I know this is a very vauge questions, but I am trying to find out in your opinion who takes the most transfer credits. The reason I asked is that I attened a school that is closed now. There is another institution handlign their records, but EC is sayign they can't take them because the school closed. I do not want to waste those credits. Any thoughts?

They have the transcripts from the school that is handling the records. They will not except the credits becuase the school is closed. I have transfered these credits into other schools in the past without a problem. Thinking of doing an Evaul at COSC or TESC

were they bought out by the school? or another school is handing it as a favor?
if it were a merger then the school isn't closed it was just absorbed.
it it were closed than the state has records that Excelsior will accept.
we are assuming that this school is a regionally accredited school..

Who is telling you this from Excelsior? Admissions? Advising?
When I've dealt with this school, I usually have to talk to several people there because sometimes it's just an issue of communication. It would be unfair to disallow credits from an institution that has since closed down, as long as it was regionally accredited at the time you attended.
You should tell them you'd like to appeal this decision, or that you'd like to get the dean involved.

Plus, one Washington Post blurb
