Okay, I just went to see fools gold, which was very boring by the way, half way through the person next to me starts taking out his phone, texting, checking messages ect...
I starting staring at this guy with the look of death, he continued, I decided to just leave and get a refund. I was surprised how easy it was to get a refund when I complained about the cell phone issue.
But in all seriousness I am almost finished with the movie theatre, almost every single time I go there is someone with a cell phone out, and usually they are next to me. One time my girlfriend almost got into a physical fight with someone because of this issue.
What are everyones thoughts on this issue and do you see theatre attendence going down with this issue and with the way media is so readily avaliable through netflix, downloading ect...

One of the bigger theater chains that has 2 locations here in town shows movies for $4 if you go before noon on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or a holiday. Although we usually encounter our fair share of kids on a holiday when school's out, it's more common that there are very few others (of any age) in the theater at that time.

Shadowless, based on the test scores you posted, you need to spend less time at the movies and more time with your nose to the pages. It's all about focus. Starbucks will now become your home away from home. Make sure you ask about the $1.00 cupp a joe, they won't tell you if you don't ask. Hope I could be of service to you.......That'll be $19.99

Humm....well let me ask you this, what's the different between you spending 3 weeks studying 4-6 hrs a night and getting a 60 and me spending 2 hrs a night for 1-2 weeks and getting a 52? A pass is a pass.
I don't drink coffe, and I am actually proud in the fact that I have earned this many credits in such a short period of time. I am also enrolled as a full time student which takes presidence over the clep/dante at this time. I am also not in a rush to earn my Bachelors since I am in the military so having a Bachelors wouldn't do much for me at this time anyway.
And as a side note, I am focusing more on upper level credits since I have over 150 total credits including military training in the Weather career field which deals mostly with physics and science.
Movies is my escape, a place where I can relax and get a way so i will continue to go, and if I continue to run into rude people, I will continue to get a refund each and every time.

My name is Jennifer and I have a netflix addiction. We don't even have tv anymore...movies? Forget it.
I actually was given a set of free passes for my family to see an IMAX movi. We just went on Friday and saw U2 3D which was fantastic! There were only about 100 people and it was WAY too lound to hear a cell phone

I don't get the use of "That'll be $9.99?
Are you referencing the cost of clep and dante tests or something?

I should know better than to start explaining other people's jokes, but here goes anyway...
In Gary's earlier post, he offered unsolicited advice on how you should spend your time, and at the end of it, he said "That'll be $19.99" -- his fee for the "counseling session". You clearly didn't like his advice, so he is offering you a discount rate. Maybe it's not hilarious, but I thought it was amusing.
